PartyGaming has announced a five-year agreement to license a number of branded slot games from WagerWorks. The games to be added under the agreement are Cleopatra, Monopoly with Pass "Go" Bonus, Cluedo and Wheel of Fortune - Hollywood Edition. The games will be added to PartyCasino.com and PartyBingo.com and other PartyGaming sites over the coming months.

Swedish market maker Betting Promotion saw betting turnover for the six months to the end of September rise to SEK7.9m, from SEK7.6m a year ago. Betting turnover for the third quarter from July to September however fell to SEK1.7m, from SEK2.4m for the comparable period last year, due to thecompany’s implementation of changes during the second and third quarter “to reduce certain trading activities which increased risk without necessarily increasing profit.” The company said it remained confident the changes would have a positive effect on total betting profits. Managing director Johan Moazed said: “The trials to find optimal parameters for our existing gaming models produced positive results. Based on these findings, changes were implemented gradually during the second and third quarters and I am now looking forward to tracking the results in the important fourth quarter.” The company added that work to increase margins on live betting remains ongoing.

bwin Enjoys a Hat-Trick of Favourable Court Rulings

The long-running legal dispute between bwin Interactive Entertainment AG and Omnia Communication-Centers GmbH which last month led to accusations of industrial espionage by both sides has finally ended in a settlement.

Omnia announced yesterday that they along with Gert Schmidt, the individual at the centre of the spying allegations, had agreed before the Commercial Court in Vienna to stop making untrue statements about bwin illegally offering online gaming services in the Austrian market.

In May 2007 the same court rejected an application by Omnia for a preliminary injunction against bwin that would have prevented it from offering games of chance online in Austria under its Gibraltar gaming licence.

bwin also scored a victory last week in the Higher Regional Court in Munich, which ruled that the State of Bayern cannot legally prohibit bwin from offering sports betting to the State's citizens via the internet.

Finally, a court in Schwerin in the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has ruled that bwin e.K. can offer its products to citizens of the State under the East German licence which it acquired prior to reunification. The court also specifically ruled that the licence held by bwin e.K. authorises it to also provide its services via the internet.

Shares of bwin Interactive Entertainment AG (BWIN.VI) are currently trading down 3.18% at €13.70 in Vienna.

Net Entertainment Awarded eCOGRA 'Safe and Fair' Seal

Net Entertainment, the Swedish online gaming software provider, has become the latest company to be awarded eCOGRA's 'Safe and Fair' seal following a range of comprehensive software, probity and operating systems inspections by independent auditors.

The audit confirms that the development, implementation and maintenance of the Net Entertainment software are representative of industry best practice standards. Licensees of Net Entertainment's popular CasinoModule management and operating system will now be able to apply for the eCOGRA Safe and Fair online casino seal.

Licensees that have already successfully achieved individual Safe and Fair accreditations from eCOGRA include Unibet, Digibet and Casino Room, with other licensees currently undergoing testing and monitoring services.

Congratulating both Net Entertainment and its licensees, eCOGRA CEO Andrew Beveridge said that there was increasing demand from software developers for his organisation's testing and monitoring services.

"With a further 20 leading suppliers now also approved or currently undergoing eGAP reviews, this shows eCOGRA has become accepted as the industry's pre-eminent standards setting authority operating wholly independent of any particular supplier or operator but in the best interests of player assurance," he said.

Net Entertainment CEO Johan Ohman said: “Meeting high standards in a tough inspection regime like this says much for the commitment and dedication of all involved, and is an important milestone in operational excellence and player protection for the company,” he said.

Since 2003, the eCOGRA seal has become synonymous with tier one levels of fair and responsible gaming, professional conduct and high operating standards when displayed on an online gambling website. There are currently 126 tier one companies bearing the seal.

888 and Sportech Upgrade Littlewoods Casino And Poker

888 has recently upgraded two online casinos run by its strategic partner Sportech—Littlewoods Poker and Littlewoods Casino. Players will now enjoy a revamped look, a selection of new games, VIP accounts, bigger jackpots and bonuses on the popular gaming websites.

Sportech, one of the UK's leading gaming businesses, and 888, one of the world leaders in gaming entertainment, recently entered a strategic partnership. As part of the cooperation, 888 powers Sportech's brand and customer base with its gaming software, knowledge services and more.

“The recent overhaul of the popular Littlewoods sites is part of a marketing campaign that emphasizes the new assets Sportech has won by partnering with 888, and will attract first-time visitors and experienced users alike,” said a company spokesperson. “The two new websites are great assets to our network, but they are only the beginning of our partnership.”

The two sites, restructured on the basis of the resources provided by 888, are amongst the most popular web sites for playing casino games and poker. Together, they offer a wide variety of poker games, online tournaments, Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat and all other well-liked casino games one would expect to find in a real Las Vegas casino.

As part of the upgrade, players will have an expanded range of gaming options to choose from. They will have the chance to receive higher prizes and bonuses—a 100% bonus up to £200 on Littlewoods Poker, and a 100% bonus up to £100 on Littlewoods Casino. Also up for grabs are travel and play packages to real-life poker events.

Additionally, Littlewoods Casino has created a ‘Vegas feel’ by upgrading its web design to make the site elegant, classy and user friendly at the same time. Its exclusive new loyalty programme is catering to its VIP players in the same spirit. Frequent players now have the opportunity to play on private tables, personalise their stakes, and receive special benefits and bonuses.

Matt Robinson, 888.com's marketing director, sees the new websites as a great success for the blossoming partnership between 888.com and Sportech: "Together, Sportech and 888 provide customers with the very best from the gaming world", he said. "The two new websites are great assets to our network, but they are only the beginning of our partnership."
