CryptoLogic has announced that the three games provided to 888 under a three-year licensing deal signed in May 2008 are now up and running on the 888.com platform. The company also announced that the initial contract for Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four and Bejewled has now been broadened to include 10 more games, which will eventually bring the number of games licensed by 888 from CryptoLogic to 13.  “It’s exciting to see one of the world’s premier gaming brands recognize that CryptoLogic delivers a gaming experience that’s truly innovative by deepening its relationship with us,” said Brian Hadfield, CryptoLogic’s chief executive.

Mobile gaming operator Probability’s Italian Job virtual racing game it has developed under a licensing deal with Paramount Pictures went live at the end of last week, with the company announcing that it ran more than 50,000 races in the first 24 hours. Probability will be launching several more branded cash games based on classic Paramount films over the coming months.

Warwick Bartlett of Global Betting and Gaming Consultants is quoted by the paper as saying: “People are leaving their cars in the garage, playing online bingo or watching a match on TV and placing a bet from the comfort of an armchair.”
